2025 Ryder Cup @ Pleasanton
Major - Ryder Cup @ TBD
If you've ever watched a Ryder Cup, it would be very clear why we wanted a Ryder Cup of our own. 2 teams, 27 holes, and an entire day of electric competition. Which team will claim the crown this year?
The Format: The league will be split into two teams. There will be 3 rounds of 9 holes played in one day: 2v2 scramble matches, 2v2 alternate shot matches, and 1v1 matches. Each match will be worth a point, and teams will accumulate points throughout the 3 rounds. Before each round, teams will strategize amongst themselves to build their ideal 2 player teams for the scramble and alt shot events. Matchups for each event are determined by a snake draft.
- Example: Team 1 chooses Alonso and Jacob as their first duo for the scramble, then Team 2 gets to choose who will compete against them. Team 2 then chooses Cal and Kyle as their second duo for the scramble, and Team 1 gets to choose who will compete against them. This back and forth will go on until all matches are set. The match selection process will occur for the scramble and alternate shot. 1v1 matches will be decided by skill to get the most fair matchups. May the best team win.
2025 Winners: Short Kings win 10 pts to 6 pts
Solo - Monarch Bay (White Tees)
Few golf courses let you enjoy views of the San Francisco skyline while not putting a serious dent in your golf budget. Monarch Bay’s Tony Lema course delivers exactly that, pairing Bay scenery with a lineup of memorable holes.
The closing stretch is where the round really shines: a driveable yet punishing par-4 14th, water-lined fairways with views of the Bay on 15 through 17, and a final temptation in the driveable par-4 18th. It’s a finish that rewards bold swings — if they're heading in the right direction. Host of last year’s Shamble Major, Monarch Bay promises a scenic, nerve-testing solo challenge.
